East Bound and Down

We’re loaded up and trucking. We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there. . . Here’s a few highlights of today’s travel:

We wrapped up Wisconsin early this morning. In true Smoky and the Bandit fashion my humans made a beer run for a special beer sold only in Wisconsin. It has a cow on the bottle so I approved it. And they did pay the cheese tax, so I enjoyed some good cheese for snacks today.

Then, we barely crept through Chicago with so much slow traffic. This is the hottest temps we’ve been in for weeks. It’s above 90 degrees! I’m nice and cool in the a/c though.

Dipped into Indiana for a quick break at a very nice rest area with an actual dog park. I met a fellow traveler named Lou and we sniffed butts and ran around for a few minutes.

Do you see me?

Then ran into traffic again around Indianapolis.

This has been my longest day in the car. I have been a trooper. Mom only had to hold me once (darn rumble strips) but we have made it to the end of Indiana and entered into Louisville Kentucky for the night.

No more horsing around here, I’m ready to be home.

Love,

Bandit (just kidding it’s Gus)
