Leaving Leavenworth

The past two days have been packed full of fun and outdoor activities. There’s so much to share so I will highlight my favorites for you.

We started our Washington adventure in North Bend where I ran around a park before it started raining. We were hungry and with the rain it was a struggle to find places to eat, but interesting enough a local dive bar with decent food allowed me to go inside….it was a little weird but I was a good boy so Mom shared some fries.

Next we ventured to Leavenworth and this is where it got really exciting. We drove up Icicle Ridge. I had the window down and was super excited with all the smells. Then we got out for a hike.

Oh boy, I hope I see birds
Me on the trail
Icicle Gorge, glacier water is clear and blue
So cool and running fast
This was my thinking spot
Me testing the water
Yep, it’s nice and cold
An interesting bridge made out of a tree
Wildflowers ahead
So pretty

It was a very fun hike. I’m not too tired yet though so we went to watch some boulder climbing.

What is this place?
Is that a boulder? what are you doing guys?

So many boulders

Next we ventured to Downtown for some shopping and food. Who knew it would be a Bavarian Town? Glad to see my heritage, I hope the dogs speak German.

Let’s go guys….
This is so cool

Today my name is Gustav
Stopping for a brat and some pretzels
They served dog treats shaped like a pretzel
Getting cold at night, let’s head home

I was very tired and went straight to bed. Thank you Nolan and Mia for the fun adventures! Goodbyes are hard.

Pointing East,

Gustav

  1. So beautiful! Did you see a bear? I’d be nervous hiking there. Looking forward to hearing more. Gus, you are having great adventures! Keep posting!
